Educational Qualifications

Paper-I (Classes I to V): Intermediate / Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks. And pass in a 2 – a year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Minimum Qualifications for paper 1 B (Classes I to V in Special Schools): RCI Qualifications at Elementary level:-
Intermediate/ Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and Two year D.Ed. Special Education in any of the category of disability (or) One year Diploma in Special Education (DSE) in any of the category of disability. (or) Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (DCBR) (or) Post Graduate Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (PGDCBR) (Or) Diploma in Multi Rehabilitation Worker (MRW) (Or) Junior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf. (Or) Primary level Teacher Training Course in Visual Impairment. (Or) Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation – Mental Retardation (DVR-MR) / Diploma in Vocational Training and Employment – Mental Retardation (DVTE-MR) (Or) Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS) (Or) Intermediate/ Senior Secondary passed with any RCI recognized qualification of minimum one year duration.

Note: All qualifications requires additionally with 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.

Minimum Qualifications for TET Paper II-A (Classes VI-VIII):

1. Mathematics and Science Teachers / Social Studies Teachers: Any Graduation in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks, pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) – Special Education.) and 4- year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks OR 4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks.
2. Language Teachers (Classes VI-VIII): Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR) Bachelor of Oriental Language (OR) Graduation in Literature (OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.

Minimum Qualifications for TET Paper II-B (Classes VI-VIII):

1. Physical Education Teachers: Pass in Intermediate and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of One or Two years duration/ Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) of duration not less than two years OR a Bachelor’s Degree (or) Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education an elective subject (or) Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) at least three years duration and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of one or two years duration/ Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) of duration not less than two years
2. Physical Education Teachers /School Assistant: Physical Education: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (or) Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education an elective subject (or) Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) at least three years duration and Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) of at least one-year duration course.

Examination (Application) Fee

The fee towards submission of application online and for the conduct of Computer Based Examination is Rs.750/- for each Paper 1A, Paper 1B, Paper 2A and Paper – 2B separately as per the AP TET Notification 2024.
